Supporting Individuals & The Community
Supporting Community, Sustainability, Education and Spirituality
The Glastonbury Trust is a grant making body that meets quarterly to allocate funds in a way that best serves our current focus on community development and sustainability. We priorotise projects local to Glastonbury and our surrounding area but will consider appilcations from further afield.
The Glastonbury Trust support projects which have community cohesion and inclusion at their heart. We are keen to support projects which might realise clear and sustainable benefits for our local community. Our particular interest is small locally based projects that have a good chance of becoming self-sustaining in the medium term. We are particularly keen on projects which reach across the generations.
Important Changes to Our Educational Portfolio. The Glastonbury Trust no longer runs its educational projects directly. As of April 1st 2013 a separate organisation is being set up, the Somerset Natural Learning Academy, to support our educational legacy. Our retiring executive officer, Chris Trwoga, will be r
esponsible for managing the new organisation. Chris remains available to support Outdoor Learning and Spirituality in schools and can be contacted at learning@snla.co.uk. The address for the Somerset Natural Learning Academy is Chris Trwoga, Somerset Natural Learning Academy, The Red Brick Building Centre, Morland Road, Glastonbury, BA6 9FT.
Donations Policy. We prefer to make donations to community organisations rather than individuals and do not offer grants for individual academic research or gap year projects. Our grants are for start-up or 'seed-funding' only, and organisations approaching us for support should be aware that grants will be 'one-off' or for a strictly limited, pre-agreed term.

Spiritual Databases
The Trust wishes to promote Glastonbury as a place of primary research for academics involved in the study of contemporary/alternative spirituality.
There are many organisations and individuals in Glastonbury with a depth of spiritual experience, based on practice in a variety of disciplines. The Trust would like to facilitate contact between such people and academics.
We are in the process of building a database in the form of spiritual biographies of individuals in Glastonbury. These autobiographies describe personal spiritual paths including details of teachers, practices, phenomenological experience and self reflection. If you are local to the Glastonbury area or Glastonbury has been part of your spiritual journey we would very much like to hear from you. You can upload your biography by registering with the website and following the links.
You will retain copyright of your biography. Please get in touch at contact@glastonburytrust.co.uk if you require further information. The Glastonbury Trust retains the right to delete biographies. In some instances we will email you to request further editing.
