Apply For Funding

Supporting The Community  >  Apply For Funding

Funding applications can take up to 3 months to process, as they are approved at our quarterly meetings. These take place in March, June, September and December. Applying early in the prior month will give us time to respond to any queries that may be raised by your application.

If you decide to approach the Glastonbury Trust for funding please write in the first instance to:

Chris Trwoga, Executive Officer

The Glastonbury Trust, 2 - 4 High Street, Glastonbury, BA6 9DU

or email contact@glastonburytrust.co.uk

Please include the following information.

1. Name and address of the individual or organisation seeking support.

2. The qualifications or experience of the individual or group, where relevant to the application. (i.e. specific craft or performance skills or qualifications)

3. The purpose to which the funding will be applied. (please refer to our 4 objects - we cannot support activities that fall outside our charitable remit).

4. An outline of how it will benefit the community, including such issues as inclusion and community cohesion. Include details of any target group you propose to support - ( i.e. mothers with very young children).

5. Details of other sponsors of the project, where applicable - ( i.e. other organisations/ partners involved or being approached.)

Please note - at present we do not usually provide grants to long-established organisations or charities if they are not in the local area. We also rarely supply grants for individual self-advancement (i.e. paying for training courses) unless the individual can demonstrate that the local community will benefit in terms of the dissemination of the skills gained or through service to the community that will further our objects.

If you are unsure if your application is suitable please refer to our previous awards in our Donations History.
